my grinder died on me fri night while i was just starting to work/cut on the frt of the frame, steering box, etc...  was going to get another grinder but instead i bought replacement parts.  just waiting... again. Roll Eyes

i did finish my frt grill center support. jackoff

started with this... well 1/2 of nothing

took this when i was on a parts run.  cj3a

finished my 1st attempt over a yr ago but now the length is correct and the hole is in the right place thumb


i did get over to jan's and got some flat plate bent up for my frame boxing.  thanks again jan.



going to put some bitchen access holes and clean up the ends so it looks factory! Evil

i agree.

Have you thought about lifting your trans/tcase up a little bit? Sounds like you're only 3/4" away from a flat belly skid...  easier to do now before you have driveshafts built for it and whatnot.

i want to drive it but ur right... now would be the time.  i could move the motor up along with some body pucks.  moving the motor up would help with steering linkage but then the pucks would take away from the original look.  nope... haven't even thought about it. Grin 

What's the plan for clutch linkage?  Hydraulic? Chain?

hydraulic.  i have a clutch reservoir and slave cylinder from a jeep tranny i picked up free... well it was a "do u want that too".  no idea what tranny but prob early 80's.  i'll use this setup as a guide to give me ideas.  if i'm lucky maybe it will work.
