I went to the loonlake Friday around 6PM:

I planned on going to gatekeeper and turning around..

Then I decided to go to the granite bowl and turn around:

Hey I have an idea, I'll go to ellis creek and I'll turn around..

My next decision was to go to Sluice box and turn around... Unfortunately I didn't make it that far. While trying to avoid digging more trenches in a mud hole, I tried going on a snow embankment just before walker... I got sideways, and winched forward, then I couldn't back up to get straight again. Buried. To the Frame.

The strap did no good, two land cruisers and a snatch block did no good, so someone left me a shovel, and I spent 2 hours digging myself a highway backwards, and I just drove out.

Navigating the granite bowl at 2am in the dark, with no one else on the trail was an interesting (and next to impossible) experience. But when I hit gatekeeper at 3am, there were still broken asshats to be winched through (if you're broken, do you really want to be winched INTO the con?) Once they were out so was I, and I was off to go sleep in my truck in georgetown! Smiley

P.S. A lot of nice folks helped me dig, and tried to get my ass unstuck from the snow. Some more nice folks let me warm my buns at their campfire at ellis for an hour before I left.
